During this step a well is transformed from a drilled hole in the ground to a surface structure from which gas can be retrieved and made ready for transport by pipeline or road/rail tanker.
The processes involved are:
"Casing the Well" protects the well stream from outside non-desirable products such as sand and water, things that are associated with the caving of a well.
"Cementing the Well" fills, with cement, the space between the casings and the space between the inside of the hole and the outer casing.
"Perforating the Casing" - creates holes on the casing and cement in the areas that are targeted for removing gas.
"Well Stimulation" breaks up the rock so that gas trapped in the pores can escape. Hydraulic fracturing is one of the methods used to stimulate the well.
